I always enjoy going to LinuxFest Northwest. It is in the same state that I live in, so it is drivable. Though this year the gas prices made that more expensive than I wanted.
The past three years I’ve given a presentation about something about open source and fasion. It’s surprised me each year how many people show up.
This year I gave a presentation about FreeSewing.eu. A place where you can generate and download custom fitted designs. The whole site and code is open source, and it has a wonderful community. I got to meet and talk with Joost, the founder of FreeSewing, when I was at FOSDOM this year. He was able to answer alot of my questions, and I hopefully was able to convey at least some of that to the people that attended my presentation.
